Big Brew Day - May 2, 2015

no sign up needed, bring whatever kegs you want and pour away.

maybe fashion a sign or something to say what beer you are pouring.

I know its technically not a beer serving event, but of course that really is another part of BBD. Are we going to have advance sign-up for bringing kegs?

You can list your beer on Barley Legal Events:
http://barleylegalevents.com/barleylega ... px?login=1
In addition to the web page, we have apps for iOS, WindowsPhone and Android. The Android app will let you link your beer to Untappd, so your guests can check it in.
If you need a log-on, I can set that up for you.

Rhonda - not sure if it's too late but when I registered I didn't request a tent-mate. My co-worker (Nick Monsu) later decided to sign up for BBD and I'm pretty sure he listed me as a tent-mate. Just want to make sure we are together. Thanks in advance!

Also I remember last year someone had a few mason jars of different yeast strains. Anyone planning on bringing some to share again this year? If not I'll pick up a fresh vials of something to use just want to know before I go out and purchase

Hi Tim,
No worries. When the two of you get there just buddy up. If you registered during regular registration you will be listed as co-Brewers. The list should be posted this weekend on the forum.

"from Iron Hill: "Looks like we will have Chico and Lager yeast but no Belgian available."
make sure you have a sanitized container if you want yeast."

Who can I contact to change the name on a ticket and the shirt size?

Hey Mike,
I already have all the shirts labeled with the registered attendees name in alphabetical order by last name. Grab me the day off and we can try and accommodate the change. I have a few extra size shirts for walk ups but can't guarantee the needed size.

It's been a few years since I've attended BBD. Sorry if it's common knowledge, but can anyone elaborate on the chilling stations? I remember baby pools with re-circulating pumps that could be used with a normal garden hose connection. Is this still the case?

the baby pool was just that one year. past couple years have been hose hook ups for everyones chillers. not sure if thats the same plan for this year.

Also, if you haven't heard, we'll be brewing with a Pico Brew if anyone wants to come check it out. It's a quick process so stop by around 9am to see how it's done. Further, I'll be hosting some Babes who may want to learn more about homebrewing (some are quite accomplished). I'd love it if you would show them what you're doing and answer any questions. Thanks!

Hey everyone - Unfortunately I have very little homebrew ready to serve at BBD. Instead I decided to do a little hop tasting experiment by dry hopping bud light (read about it here: http://www.bertusbrewery.com/2013/03/dry-hopped-bud-light.html)

I'll have the following ready to taste: Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Amarillo

Supplies are limited, so stop by early (before your palates are wrecked!) and say hello. look for the hop painting :D
