Kettle Etching

So, this was a rather easy project to do. Took a little time to lay out all the measurements, but it worked out awesome. I've been looking into a sight glass for my kettle because I'm really bad at figuring out my volumes, and my numbers are always off (probably because I'm over our under sparging), but I'm just going to do this to it. Much easier and cheaper.

Was thinking of doing this with a keg I want to covert to a brew kettle. Let me know how it works for you.

Looks good. Do you keep adding gallons of water and marking it so you know where each gallon mark is?

Yes. I filled it one gallon at a time and marked it with electrical tape. Then drained the water, dried the kettle, and also using electrical tape, made the rectangles that became the horizontal lines. It took some time, but it wasn't difficult.
