Closing the FastFerment conical collection ball valve while in use...
Don't do that. Its not pressure rated and the seam will fail. That is all.

Leaking collection ball, or fermentor?
Mine actually leaked out the molded seam of the ball, on the bottom where it was thinnest. Sprayed a barely visible mist of yeast sediment about 2 feet. There was significant pressure in it. Even filled the body of the valve outside the ball with sediment.
